Ten things to do before you go running (displacement activities)
1. look for trainers. 2. find a trainer 3. abandon search for trainers, go instead to look for socks 4. find other trainer, look again for it's pair, fail 5. find a sock 6. sigh heavily 7. have coffee 8. watch as the clouds cover the sun. 9. eat body weight in bagels, feel sick, abandon thoughts of running 10. find other trainer....

Ten things to do after you go running with Daz in a swamp
1. Try to get lift home with Daz as trainers too wet and muddy to go in your own car. Fail. 2. Remember to take trainers off before entering house. Best to avoid a brown noise moment from my wife. 3. Peel off socks and put in bin 4. Peel off leeches and other sticky things from legs which might have attached themselves during swamp run 5. Empty trainers of several gallons of swamp water 6. Throw trainers in washing machine. Consider environmentally friendly wash cycle then dismiss as this really isn't going to cut it. 7. Take glass of whisky up to shower room. It is Fathers Day after all. 8. Take memo to self - when Daz asks "Are you feeling brave", remember to say NO. 9. Forget how to count to 10.
