Hi everyone, Just a reminder that the first Club Championship race of the year is the Hardwick X-Stream, 6m race on Sunday 17th February 2013 at 11.00am (Not the Roman IX was cancelled) This is a very friendly race run totally off road around Manor House Farm - Hardwick. The slightly undulating 6 mile route consists of varied terrain - grassland, ploughed fields, farm tracks and the occasional stream. Entry is via: www.bearbrookrunningclub.co.uk or Runners World using the team name of 'Sole Destroyer's'. Entries will be accepted on the day, unless the race limit of 300 is reached. Here are some comments on Runners World from previous years: Small, friendly muddy and fun. Great stuff and total change from the usual road races, but I'll come in swimming trunks next year Well organised muddy scramble run through streams and fields. Always fun but hard work Friendly crowd, no gimmicks, a well marked course, the perfect balance of ups, downs, water and mud and a decent medal at the end and all for a tenner. Bargain. Please make sure you bring change of clothes and trainers, as you'll probably get wet and muddy. A few of us from the club ran this race last year and really enjoyed it - it had a real 'feel good' factor once it was over. Sue
